Australian passport collection

Featured Replies

Last week renewed Aussie passport and planned to pick up on the 19th October.

I want to avoid the journey from Pattaya to Bangkok as my health is not the best.

I advised at the interview that I would collect , but now want to nominate my partner to collect on my behalf.

The Embassy will not respond to my email or telephone calls for clarification on third party collection.

Obviously I dont want her to go all that way and get refused.

Providing she has plenty of ID  , will there be a problem?

Thank You

I cannot find any info on the embassy website about having somebody to pick it up.  I suggest you keep trying to contact them. Are you sure you are sending the email to the correct address as shown here. https://thailand.embassy.gov.au/files/bkok/Passport_Information_Adults_06182_Bangkok.pdf

I would assume she can pick up your passport. I think you would need to write up a authorization for her to pick it up with her full name and ID card number on it. She will need to have your old passport with her so that it can be canceled.

The Australian Embassy have replied to me and what you stated is 100% correct.

So appears no worries !
