I've been searching through the forum checking on the prices some people have paid and they vary a lot, some have paid £415 while others have paid £600+

What are your most recent (within the last 2 weeks) prices?

I'm looking for a flight for my mum for mid March.

Thanks in advance

£399 all in from Manchester with Etihad, booked through Opodo. Check it several times each day as it changes quite a lot. Been home 2 weeks now and depression has set in!!

Would definitley use Etihad again.

My parents flew over on Jan 19th and left on Feb 9th. Flew United Arab Emirates, 500 quid return from Heathrow. Stopover in Dubai, which my Mum appreciated as she doesn't enjoy flying and wanted a break in the journey.

Said the flight was great, lots of inflight entertainment tv/movies/music , food was excellent and the service.

They also have an internet check in service where you can go online before your flight, check in and choose your seats from the ones available. Saves an hour queue at the airport if it's a busy flight.

Anybody else?

My mum is being quoted £1,400 to fly from Spain to Thailand so she's also looking at the possibility of flying to the UK then on to Thailand which seems the cheaper but potentially more risky option given the terrorist/snow/delay problems...

I just paid £450 with Quatar, flying on the 25th March and back on the 18th April - I had to change my dates quite alot as its the Easter holidays and some of the places were quoting 600/700 quid. So what was originally going to be a 2 week holiday, gradually turned into 4 weeks, to save money on the flight - not quite sure how that will work!!! But never mind.

I booked with Trailfinders and they were definately the cheapest I came accross, good luck.

I always use traveljungle.co.uk from the UK - great site as it compares the various online travel sites (including expedia and opodo) and brings back the cheapest.

1400 quid seems very expensive - you could fly business class for that. For what it is worth i have just searched for return flights from Madrid to BKK at the end of feb and travel jungle quoted 640.00 with Royal Jordanian. As this is a UK site as well i am sure you could get cheaper than that in Spain.

I've got to go to a wedding in Rome in June and wanted to travel onwards to Bangkok...

Phoned around this week and even the travel agent at E-Bookers suggested by far the cheapest way would be to get a "cheapo" return and then another ticket to Bangkok...via Rome was about £1600...

I believe your Mum will find it MUCH less expensive that way...(by about a £1000...which isn't so much money in the UK these days but is a hel_l of a lot of baht :o )

By the way..to answer the original post...recently paid about £575, direct flight on Thai, (including cc charge and full Thai miles) from WesteastTravel...came back to the UK 3 days ago.
