Russian wanted on Interpol red warrant arrested in Pattaya

A Russian man wanted on an Interpol red warrant is in custody after police caught up with him in Pattaya on Tuesday.

 

The arrest was made after the Chon Buri police head office received a request from the Russian embassy to locate Vitalil Trofimov, who is wanted in Russia on drug trafficking charges.

 

Police checked records and found Trofimov was living in Pattaya on a business visa.

 

He was detained at the Immigration Bureau pending extradition.

As they say good guys in and bad guys out.have a nice trip after a little stay at IDC.obviously not the smartest of guys being on Interpol red list and registering himself at immo with a business visa.

It doesn't say how long he has been in Thailand, but the article does say that the perp is being detained at immigration, pending immigration.  It looks like another case of bad guys in, good guys (like a certain Chinese tourist) beaten up.

Start checking people's background before giving entry to Thailand that will stop meny of this bad guy's 

OK for the drug lovers there say drugs should be legalized that just means he is a good guys isn't 

The Interpol Red notice,does not work so well,

when looking for Thai fugitives.

Australia does it if you have TV or YouTube try see border control on CI channel 

and I will have no problem with Thailand want check my criminal record because I have nothing to hide....

Many Russians have multiple identities if they worked for the Russian Secret Service.

Many of the Swedes, Norwegians, Fins and Danish folks living in Jom Tien are Russian, if you know the dialects you'll figure out they are speaking Russian, not Scandanavian.  Its kind of like Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Panamanian Spanish, youcanpick them out easy enough.

Wouldn't it be great to have a Thai Most Wanted tv show? So TV members can get a heads up before the s... hits the fan.

You mean they try to pretend they are Scandinavians ? Because we have nothing in common with the Russians .  Culture , language , everything is completely different.
