Video: A British pensioner's shame! Stole his neighbor's mattress and cash while he was away

I truly fail to see the reason for these reenactments--especially for something so minor as a simple theft.  What a huge waste of police time. I guess they are done for some 'Look at me! I'm actually doing some work!' press coverage for the police but, seriously?

You can clearly see it is pounds, so no brownie points for the police chief. One wonders how he got to be the chief when his observational powers appear to be somewhat lacking. Shame on the

How sad, living in a one room apartment in Pattaya when aged 72.

What I don't understand is why all the police officers for a minor crime like this when there is underage prostitution, drugs and corruption going on all around.

I think there are people living in one room that are reasonably happy, what i find very sad at 72, is him stealing from his neighbour's .

Even with the mask, he looks like that Geordie bloke who was the foreman in “Auf Wiedersehen Pet”.....

At least they got the chance to point their fingers whist in "disguise"! :cheesy:

I doubt this guy is a poster on here. He is clearly not upto date on modern technology if he does not realise his apartment has cctv.

The Police chief in the video does not have parachute wings on his shirt, that's the first one I've ever seen without them.

Primitive style policing at it's best.

Were they charged with mattresside?

I'll get my coat.

No, maybe not, but if she was his Thai wife would it be mattrimoney?

In all fairness to the chief. His a likable bloke. I have met him and his fair and polite enough.

And we thought some of the local crooks are thick, this Muppet really does take the biscuit, what goes through their tiny minds ?? Beggars belief.

His neighbors immediately fell under suspicion

Interesting that his good friend was the first person considered presumably even before viewing the video.

ship the thieving low life back home after his stint in prison

It’s easy to work out it’s a inside job , you would be noticed walking out the lobby with a mattress , what a <deleted>, I see in the pic  he even has. A cigarette in his hand in the friends room.

Needing something to hide the money under :cheesy:

What's a mattress between friends? ????

Well all I can say is he made his bed and now.............

Den

Finally . Did no one else note the cigarette?

Did his friend say he could smoke in his room?

Smelling up the apartment with odor of tobacco about him, bad breath, and yellowed fingers. Now stealing a crummy mattress.

Rot in gaol you common trash!

Not in anyway defending, but the word desperation comes to mind, AND how did he know the cash was available

From an Islamic amputation point of view - cut his fingers and remove the watchers eyes to prevent it from happening again....

What more to say about those 2 tragic figures that most likely deserve each other - With a total life experience of (72 + 45) 117 years, one should expect better ... Just Sad....
