Damrongsak
Another pic of a brown kukri, with the rounder spots and somewhat subdued banding between the bigger spots. Apparently the picture here was taken in the Pattaya area. https://www.en.siam-info.de/venomous_animals/snakes/oligodon.html

Damrongsak
Pit vipers seem to have a pronounced neck and head shape. They say banded kukris are hard to grab hold of because the head/neck is not so pronounced. I would pay particular attention to the marking on the head. From the tail end, the darker area looks like an outline of a little man. A head with arms and legs. In addition, look at the spots, which can be rounded or somewhat band-like, and the three bands in between spots. ID can be tough, especially with variations of location and age of the snake. But this one looks like a shoo-in for a non-venomous brown kukri. I would not be concerned. My wife would freak, but she does that even seeing a picture of a snake. Any snake. But she does like spiders, bless her.
