Is there also Corten steel available in Thailand? It forms an oxide layer on the outside which prevents it from further rusting and can be used outdoors without any paint. It looks a bit like weathered copper.

From my reading, while it certainly is available and used in Thailand, COR-TEN or the generic corten steel may be a poor choice of material in Thailand

Weathering steel is sensitive to humid subtropical climates, and in such environments, it is possible that the protective patina may not stabilize but instead continue to corrode. For example, the former Omni Coliseum, built in 1972 in Atlanta, never stopped rusting, and eventually large holes appeared in the structure. This was a major factor in the decision to demolish it just 25 years after construction.

In Holland i see very nice planters made of it...and around tree's on streets they made nice covers from it.

I know it's not stainless steel but corten seems to work well outdoors and lasts for many years. Also it's easyier to work with than stainless.

Humm

It seems to me that the usual weather in Holand is not hot and humid.

It also seems that the usual weather in both Atlanta and Thailand are hot and humid.

Maybe you should contact the person who has built a house incorporating your material in Thailand, he posts on a website devoted to building cool thai houses. However his house was only built about a year ago.

COR-TEN® is high strength, low alloy weldable structural steel with exceptional weathering resistance.

Why not look at the second one then ????

Because i don't do websites in Thailand...it doesn't work at all to google and go from there in Thailand.  And they won't show prices, addresses are wrong, don't answer emails....it's like talking to babies.

But i see they have corten steel on pictures, only need a place in BKK who will sell to me and speaks english.

It certainly is in some conditions, however you didn't bother to notice that it is not always weather resistant typically in hot humid conditions, it can then continue rusting never developing the protective resistant layer.

As you don't do Thai websites (they work for me) you may like to follow my other lead, no skin of my nose if you don't.

To each his own but the buildings i have seen it on looked like rusted metal to me. Not real appealing of a look to me but again everyone has their own tastes.

From your own article

The Shortcomings of Cor-Ten Steel

After illustrating the numerous advantages of weathering steel, attention should be paid to the shortcomings of the material. Cor-Ten steel requires alternating wet and dry cycles to form a properly functioning protective coat. It shouldn’t be used in areas with salt-laden air, high rainfall, humidity, persistent fog, or generally hot, humid climates. Other challenges relate to construction in terms of special welding techniques. And –lastly, Cor-Ten steel may also stain surfaces located near it through its rust.
