B visa extension of stay, how long to process?

Recommended Posts

I'm here on a 3 month single entry B visa, and now have my work permit. As I can't do my extension of stay until the last 45 days of the visa, I got a multi entry stamp as I have business travel coming up.

Due to this travel, I can only apply for the extension in the last 30 days, and will travel in that period too. My question is,  is the extension a one-day job at Chaeng Wattana (that's my impression), or will there be an 'under consideration' period (how long?) and can I still travel in that period?

Thanks in advance!

As far as I know Chaeng Wattana immigration does not normally do a under consideration stamp with a report back date 30 days from the date you apply. But it could depend whether you are working for a new company or a well established one.

If you did get a under consideration stamp you could get a re-entry permit that will be valid for entry up to the report back date.
