NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 8 October 2018 (NNT) - Buddhists in Nakhon Si Thammarat province have celebrated the annual religious ceremony ‘Boon Sart Duen Sib’ with a parade of Phi Pret puppets, intended to encourage people to refrain from all vices.

PHUKET: Police have confirmed that two suspects wanted for the fatal shooting of the 18-year-old son of a village headman in Phuket on Saturday have been taken into custody.

UDON THANI — With a fish trap over one arm, machete in hand, and balaclava over his face, a man robbed four spots within one week – until police arrested him Sunday.

Deputy district chief among 12 facing charges including alleged shooting of binturong in Sai Yok National Park

A 12-strong group – including the deputy district chief for defence at Kanchanaburi’s Dam Makham Tia district office, Watcharachai Sameerak – has been arrested for allegedly camping out overnight and shooting a binturong in Sai Yok National Park over the weekend.

PHUKET:-- The chief of the immigration officers stationed at Phuket International Airport told The Phuket News today (Oct 8 ) that he is ‘thankful’ for new Immigration boss Maj Gen Surachate Hakparn ordering his officers to no longer accept cash ‘tips’ from tourists arriving in the country.
