Your meter is made for only water, liquid. If air is sucked in before your meter, your meter can drive faster. An oval wheel flow meter and looks like this inside https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fintercontrol.be%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2022%2F12%2Fwerking-ovaalrad-flowmeters-met-positieve-verplaatsing-.webp&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=a8c14b5ad8a3c0b56b11fe0f28b0309d5c40ab58f506c881a3436dd96d139585 How air can get in? there could be a leak in front of meter. Ejecteur working sucks in air and passes your meter. Could be miles away, but then more people must have the problem. Maybe ask your neighbors about their bill? SO you could check on how meter is running. Open a valve and see how constant the meter is running, it should. If it varies in speed, then might have air problem. Ok, if the air is fed in constantly, you maybe might not see it. Maybe detectable if you open valve, a sputtering of air coming out in beginning, could be not much, maybe you dont even notice. But be critical in your observations. Of course if someone connected a pipe on your meter, they will have free water and you pay. IF you have leakage after meter, you can see easily. All valves are closed , so meter shouldnt run. It runs? you have a leakage. You dont know if someone else has connection on your pipe, or that one should use water at the same time you are looking for leakages. So then a regulair check on meter could tell you more. You dont use, so meter should not be running. The wheel digit should come to complete stop, well if you have on your meter. Checked internet in 2 languages about problems, but his one above isnt mentioned anywhere. I see there are problems with water meters everywhere, even brand new ones ! For a change is value, mostly they point on the meter or leakages in watersystem after. Commonly said meter is going down and need to be replaced. They say 10-20 years lifespan. Yes , I hear you saying, new meters can also have problems or at least people have problem with readings.? There are quite some arguments about readings and complaining at water companies about it. However companies say , their meter is correct. But they dont explain the odd readings of people. Maybe meter reader was drunk and had wrong numbers noted. Maybe administration did wrong in handling? Thats also said about weird readings. You already see, you pay a lot for the water. And the bigger the usage, the bigger the bill then. 156 m3? That is 156000 ltr ,78000 ltr/person, june so 30 days, 2600 ltr water/day, that is remarkable. No clue what meter type, as there is besides the digits a wheel running and shows the 4 th digit after comma. You have 5 digits (black) which show m3 (unit), then 3 digits (red), so that is after comma units. Red 1 0.1 , red 2 0.01, red 3 0.001 in m3 (unit) . Multiply any digit by 1000 and you have liter. M3 > dm3 (liter) is factor 1000, maybe you remember. 1m3 = 1000 ltr. The meter shows all in m3, before comma and behind, black and red (after comma) Running wheel, It is 0.0001 m3, so that is 0.1 liter. the scale on running wheel is from 0-10. So one complete turn (from 0-10) is 1 ltr. You can fill a bucket of 10 ltr and see if it is correct. Handy if bucket shows what is 10 ltr. 10 turns is 10 ltr. Handy to do with 2 persons, one opening and the other one counts. Or you see on the 3rd digit after comma, that one should have just gone 1 = 10 ltr. Of course it is approximately. You dont have to throw the water away, you can use in toilet to flush, when going to toilet. Last year had the pump going on/off for no reason, checked all valves, no problem. But very closely looking at a toilet', showed me a tiny leakage over there. Almost not noticeable. Tiny water from tank into toilet. Fixed it and problem solved. Sometimes the little things can be a PITA. And little things can be big the longer it last. This year MUST replace gasmeter by law ! They changed it now for free. If I wouldnt then by law I probably get a big fine. SO I did and also electric meter. No choice, otherwise costing me then money and a government section on my back then. Amazing, have now small meter, working principle ultrasone, holds a battery working 25 years !!! So it feeds the meter, feeds communication by air and the display if i want to see for 25 years ! And me worrying about my cellphone battery. Still have old type watermeter, I wonder when they are going to replace that as well?
