ANG THONG, 8th October 2018 (NNT)-A senior member of Chat Thai Pattana Party, Somsak Prissanantakul, said today he is not concerned about the next general election after some party members resigned.

Somsak said it was normal for some members of the party to leave and join others, and for a political party to recruit new members when there is going to be a general election. He said this would not affect the stability of the Chat Thai Pattana Party, adding new members will be recruited soon.

When asked about the chance of winning seats in Ang Thong province in the next general election, Somsak said he was confident that the two former MPs in his party would be chosen by voters given how close they were to people and that his party would win 30 seats in the Parliament.

Somsak also called on the government and the National Council for Peace and Order to relax restrictions on political parties so that they can begin their campaigns. He added it would give people confidence that there will definitely be a general election on February 24th next year.
