A video clip of a man falling off his motorbike at a checkpoint in Rassada last night has gone viral in local social media. The elder brother of the injured man claims that police grabbed his brother’s collar when he was on the bike.

Facebook user ‘Chaolert Tunsakun’ has posted the video clip last night with a message reading, “You hit until unconscious? And then used your feet to poke. Do you think that my younger brother is dead? Wearing police uniforms at checkpoint, you can hit anyone?” (Translated from Thai)

The video clip shows a checkpoint set up on Amphoe Road in Rassada. A motorbike went through the checkpoint. The bike continues and falls over as the rider can been skidding into the side of a parked car. The Police reaction was rather odd, tentatively approaching the clearly injured man and poking him with their feet. Later the injured man was bundled onto a police pickup truck.

As Kelboy states, it looks as if he was trying to run the checkpoint judging by the speed he came into view. I seem to recall an incident maybe a year ago where a Policeman in Bangkok kicked a motorcyclist to the ground for trying a u turn at a checkpoint, and his boss said they were entitled to use "Necessary force"....
