I'm still getting the cold shoulder quote "today special day but you not think, maybe not for you blah blah?" that was yesterday and she's still not spoke to me this morning! I need to ask a question for the past three years my American neighbour has given my wife and I a Valentine card and flower. He also gives these to all his friends whether male or female. He is not gay at all. In the UK you would only give a valentine card to a spouse or lover and not to your next door neighbour. A serious question, is this normal behaviour in the USA? I think to make her look a little better, perhaps you can paraphrase into more readable engrish; baby talk and pidgeon english repeated by adults both look,er, well not that good and hard to understand. It doesnt take that much effort, does it and you'd have to be in a coma to have not seen it was coming up. However, to make sure I do not forget, I wish everyone I know a happy birth-valentine-easter-Christmas-holi-new year-countdown-boxing-day every day. FOr some reason, I seem to get laid a lot more these days, I put it down to this basic consideration :-) Strangely, most of my conquests, are disgruntled wives of non Thais living here?! I was proper in the dog house after a 3 day bender, Valentines was the perfect day to make up properly. As a rule, if it is a Western holiday, I don't get the woman a present unless she can explain the meaning of the day. Note, this does not work unless you find a new GF before the holiday roles around again. Christmas is my favorite example: GF: Honey, what will you get me for Christmas? Me: I already bought you something; I spent a lot of money too. GF: Ohh, really, what is it? Me: I can't tell you, it will ruin the surprise. By the way, why do we celebrate Christmas? GF: It is Santa Claus' birthday! -- then it is simple to explain how she does not respect your beliefs or understand your culture and basically get revenge for all the times you heard it from her, and then say you are giving her gift to the poor.
