90 Days Report Checking/Payable at Suvarnabhumi Airport?

Featured Replies

I'd greatly appreciate advice regarding my 90-day situation.

I just realized that my 90 days has passed (including the +7 days grace period). I know that I will have to pay a fine of 2000 baht at Chaeng Wattana immigration. I will be leaving the country on the 6th of December. Can I know if the immigration at Suvarnabhumi checks the 90 day report.

Departure immigration does not check for 90 day reports. It is not their responsibility and they have no way of checking for them.

They would have to look at the receipt for the last report in your passport and will not even bother doing that.

Will I have a problem when I return to Bangkok? Or will the 90 day counter just reset?

No problem until you go to do your report 90 days after you enter the country at you local immigration office. If they notice you did not do your report they could fine you 2000 baht.

They could ask to see your report receipt, BUT — as a rule — they don’t.

If you report before you leave the fine should be 2,000. If you are caught with an overdue report you can be arrested and fined 4,000 baht.

You shouldn’t have any problem at the airport. But as you’ve stayed over 97 days without reporting they could (highly unlikely) retrospectively fine you in the future.

If you leave with an outstanding report, you shouldn’t — as it stands — have any problems arising from it in the future.

Yes. The day you re-enter will be day 1 of a new 90 day count.
