Witness to Crime/ Visa Situation

Featured Replies

Looking for advice on my situation please.

Long story short I am the key witness of an arson/failed suicide attempt that took place 12/10/18 at the Thai Green G.H.

At the moment we are waiting for the police/CSI to complete their investigation. Meanwhile my days are dwindling, i.e. on my extension of a visa exempt with 13 days remaining. Of course that could very well mean without some kind of waiver I will be forced to leave the country before the trial. I feel it is only just that I be offered some kind of relief considering what the perpetrator has put everybody through. Being forced to do visa runs just to be able to testify is wrong. Anybody ever been in such a situation? Who do I appeal to? What particular office, the police, immigration, etc exactly? The tourist police just fobbed me off, won't lift a finger Anybody, Udon Joe?

Do you have a trail date? This could take months if not years.

The only one to appeal to would be the judge if you see them before your visa expires.

If not, either get a new visa, or leave the country, it's your call.

You can apply for an extension at immigration based upon being involved in court proceedings.

From police order 327/2557.
