Multiple Entries No Visa

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I came to Thailand on November 10th with a Non-O Single entry.

Before it expired on the 6th Feb I did a border run to Cambodia via Jack Golf (excellent firm I must add).

Anyway my plan was to do 2 more runs with Jack in order to stay until early May.

My friend has booked tickets to Vietnam and wants me to go.

So my question is can I leave and go to Vietnam for 2 days and return, thus entering Thailand for a fourth time without a visa?

I understand that my stay cannot exceed the previous entry of May the 6th or will they deny entry full stop?

Thanks

Ash

I do not understand the question as you have only entered one time without visa and it has only been for about 10 days. That means you can spend another 80 days here without visa. The total is 90 days - not four entries.

Are you asking if you can leave after spending 3x30 and enter again the answer is no.

If you mean after 75 days you leave for 2 days will they let you back? They should but will have to make a count of days remaining and it may range from zero to 15.

If you are planning a trip to Vietnam why not use it to buy a tourist visa?

Yes this is what I mean.

I want to leave on day 75 (or within the 90 day period) and re-enter. I will leave again before 90 days.

One of Jacks staff said that you won't get any hassle in the air-port. The problem is only on land borders.

Edit: Found this http://www.thaivisa.com/visa/the-new-visa-run-rules.html

It seems so far that a person can leave and enter as many times as they like within that 90 day period, but after 90 days of getting back to back entries using this method, people will be refused another 30 day visa exemption.

I'll take the risk and report back in April.

You are OK, you do not count the time you stayed on the Non Imm visa, the total time you are allowed to stay on visa free entry is 90 days in any 180 day period. They do not count number of entries.

Yes it was the number of entries that concerned me.

Thanks
