Hi Guys

I was just in contact with Perth Consulate and they advised that  I get a Single entry NON O visa rather than a Multi entry as for a Multi there is additional requirements and also processing time..

Below is the Email I recived

Dear Sir,

The guidelines for the Non Immigrant O Spouse Visit visa are attached.

We generally issue Single Entry 90 day Non Immigrant O visas.

There are additional requirements for Multiple Entry Non Immigrant O visas.

These have been requested by the Royal Thai Embassy since August 2016.

If you require a Multiple Entry visa due to the nature of your employment, the additional requirements include a letter from your employer with information advising your title, the nature of the "Fly in Fly out" position, your length of employment, and current salary.  Some financial information is also required. Typically this would be copies of your last 3 months pay advices and a copy of a current bank statement in your name.  These need to be provided when you submit your application.

If you require a Multiple Entry visa due to other reasons, these must be stated in a letter with your application.   In addition, financial information to demonstrate the ability to support yourself in Thailand would be required.

In August 2016 the Royal Thai Embassy advised that all applications for Multiple Entry Non Immigrant Visas had to be approved by the Embassy after being processed by the respective Consulate.  This may add a day or two to the normal 4 day visa processing time. This is why we suggest you apply 2 weeks before your travel date.

We contact visa applicants as soon as we are notified that their visas have been approved by the Embassy.

Our usual opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

Please let us know if you require any additional information.

Kind regards,
Royal Thai Consulate, Perth Staff

No. You can’t change the visa once it’s issued. You need to decide whether you want a single or multiple entry when applying at the consulate.

What reason/basis are you applying for a non ‘O’?
