georgegeorgia
To cut a long question short , do you pick up travelling monks on the roadside when your driving into rural areas ? Or travelling from city to city ? Edited November 17, 2018 by georgegeorgia

Moonlover
I don't pick up anyone by the roadside. Not even pretty young ladies. In fact especially pretty young ladies!
silverhawk_usa
I have in remote areas where rides may be scarce. But, I have a pickup and they generally just climb in the back and bang on the roof when they want out. Otherwise I leave it to the Thais to take care of their own.

JimmyJ
"Do you pick up monks on the road side?" Yes. Once I get them standing again I get in the car and drive off.
changmaichillin
If one gets on the bus and there are no seats the driver makes someone (usually a youngster) get up, never seen one say no i put others before myself.
CALSinCM
No. Most of these monks are on 'tudung'. They are not trying to get anywhere other than Nirvana. You're not going to take them there by car. Edited November 18, 2018 by CALSinCM

Daffy D
We picked up a couple of monks standing at the roadside in rural area some while back. I was going to just drive past but the wife said to stop. They jumped in the back of the pick-up, we were full of kids anyway, and when they got off handed me a couple of amulets which I later stuck to roof lining above the interior mirror. Guess those amulets must work as I haven't had an accident since. Mind you I haven't had an accident in the last 30 years either.
