Border crossing to Kambodscha Ban Kruat

Yesterday i heared something about a small border station between Thailand and Kambodscha near a Ton named Ban Kruat in Province Buriram. Did anyone now this place, is it real, what is important to know about that?

And, i want to go first time to Kambodscha, what currency can i use, THB, Euro, Dollar?

And, did anyone know what kind of visa my thaiwife need to cross the border (for me its no problem).

The crossing is only for thai locals at the moment. They have been promising a full border crossing for the last couple of years. I used to cross regularly for years, you just left your driving licence with the soldiers and paid to go to the Cambodian side, but this was stopped a year or two ago. 

 

Unfortunately a casino opened which is currently destroying the lives of the locals.
