  • You have no right of way anywhere road or pavement if you want to stay alive????

  • Right-of-way goes to the largest vehicle

  • Are you Thai or "other"...  All "others" must yield (wallets, land, vehicles, common sense, etc, etc)

walk half a mile to a crosswalk with lights of course !
where one will find out that cars indeed do stop,
sometimes,
but then do not wait for the green light.

If you are on a crosswalk with no lights in USA then vehicles will stop as soon as you put your foot on the pavement. Or they will stop, when they see you are on the curb waiting for to cross the street. That's the law and there is a big time punishment if someone hits you. Don't matter if you are on the cross walk or not but vehicles has to stop for pedestrian crossing the street even what you do is illegal. In case of an accident pedestrian gets the traffic ticket but driver goes to jail depends on the injury to the pedestrian and many years jail time if pedestrian dies in the accident except on Highways and Freeways ( Authobahn )
