Hi-so Rent Girls

One might be surprised just how many Hi-So girls there are in Thailand.

I was told by an educated Thai woman (a Bangkok university degree qualified, with her own succesful business, etc) that at one university in Chiangmai (not Chiangmai University or Maejo) that the majority of the female students are "on the game in one shape or form"

One only needs to take a look at the cars some of these girls drive to assume that, what my friend said is correct.

This has also been confirmed by other mature age respectable Thai woman.

It's no secret, it's just another reality here in Thailand.

And the girls don't really care just where/how their benefactors get their money i.e. from gambling casino's, drugs and or prostitution.

As long as they get their regular "donations" for the services they render they don't really give a sh*t.

There were some storries a couple of years ago where ABAC (don't know why only ABAC) girls held "lotteries" whenever they needed a new handbag or something. Each guy paid 50 Baht to the girl and the winner could have sex with the girl.

That somehow sounds a bit un-Thai because absolutely everyone would know about the girl being on the game, and also on the part of a girl she could not really pick/approve the guy.. Not saying it isn't true, I never heard this story, but it doesn't sound like a practise that could really take off in Thailand. I can totally see students putting out for money, but then in a very discrete hush-hush don't-ask-don't-tell kind of way..

I'd have to agree with Chanchao. This seems highly unlikely unless the, 'Girls

Gone Wild,' American style of culture has seeped into Thailand without me noticing.
