Book Direct Ot Through An Agent

In Australia it seems I can get the best prices by booking through a large agency the prices on the net are always more expensive when dealing with Thai Air

Is it the same in Bkk do agents give the best prices?

Because of Government taxes and GST I have been told that I can get much better prices in Thailand than in Australia so to get a 12 months ticket and return on a ticket purchased in Thailand and use my Australian ticket when I return on my second trip

But the Thai web site in Bkk has given me a dearer price than Escape travel has given me in Australia

Do Thai nationals get a better price than that on the web or is this just a rumour and not true?

If yes how do you apply for this?

any one have an agency that they have dealt with in Bkk, and can reccomend

an address, phone number or better still an email adress would be appreciated

I have no experience of OZ travel agents but if I compare prices in Thailand to prices in UK then prices in UK are cheaper. It used to be the case that prices were cheaper in Bangkok but from my experience not any more.

You can check and compare at Charlies but usually from UK the on line booking agents such as ebookers give the best deals and with etickets you can book from anywhere in the world. You can check your fare with ebookers by typing in a 'Non UK Airport'

You mention Thai Air, you wont get the best deal in Thailand by flying Thai Airways wherever you buy your ticket. have you looked at Jetstar
