Michal Karwowski Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Hi, I'm searching for metal art robots sculpture (see attachment) manufactures in Thailand (any region).Do you recommend any manufacturer? A region to look for? My brother will be in Thailand soon, so he can see and order them on December. Longer version: I would like to order over a dozen full-size robots made of metal. That's why I'm not interested in 'showrooms' (higher price / harder to order some custom robots). Then robots will be exported to Europe. I know that such robots are built in many places in Thailand (I already found a few websites / Currently, I'm in Poland). Do you recommend any manufacturers? Do you have contact? Can you provide a contact? Do you recommend some region (with a good quality/price ratio)? Where more such manufactures exist than in other regions. Do you have some hints on how to search for such manufactures? Thank you in advance. I already spend limitless hours searching for such places in Thailand (with poor results ????) But sometimes it's just better to ask.I will be grateful for any advice.
CharlieH Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I saw a place that does these and they have them out front. I cant give you an address as such but they are on the left side as you exit Bangkok on the main highway heading North. I will check a map and get back and add here shortly. 1
fakename Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 in Pattaya, on Soi Siam Country Club, I think still makes them, A few km down from Sukumvit. I will be driving by there tomorrow,, and will take a look. 1

onekoolguy Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 The "Hua Hin Artist Village" 3218 Hin Lek Fai, Hua Hin. has some really neat stuff! Go to Google maps. I've posted some pics there. 1

Can you take a contact (email, phone, website, whatsapp,..) to them by the way? Thailand is huge it will be difficult to visit all the places. Moreover in some places quality is worse than in other places. But having contact can help to estimate if it is worth to go to the specific location.

Ok, follow the main hwy1 headin out of Bangkok , start around chatuchak and just keep travelling and looking for about 5km and you should see them. Sorry I cant be more precise as it was a few months ago. There is also an office in my town that has 6 of those huge Tranformer types like in your image in Yellow and Black and a Hulk. I'll drop in there tomorrow and see if I can get where they obtained them.(if possible) 1
Michal Karwowski Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 @onekoolguy Thanks Thanks for photos (on google maps), with such photos it's easier to evaluate location / quality ???? Hua Hin Artist Village - looks like a place to spend time (with the family/trip), rather than manufacture. However, we'll check it out ???? Thanks 1

I didn't expect such involvement, willingness to help. Thank you.
Michal Karwowski Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 @CharlieH I have seen those pictures many times but with no contact info to the artist / manufacture. For example website: http://yumimodal.com/ just doesn't work. However, thanks to you I re-checked it. And in domain's WHOIS information I found the contact to the owner of the domain, who seems to be that person ????
Michal Karwowski Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 @CharlieH Anchalee Saengtai works looks greate, however I failed to find contact. Website doesn't work. In WHOIS (domain informations), I found email [email protected], doesn't exist (out of date), phone number doesn't seems to be correct. Hm.. But thanks. I'll try to ask people from 'blogs' if they know where. However I see same photos over and over again, so probbably most people just copied them from other site.
fakename Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 I checked the place on Soi Siam, but seems to be another business there now, and closed, sorry! 1
CharlieH Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 I tried that other company today but the boss wasnt in and the staff didnt know the origins of the pieces they have. Sorry. 1
Michal Karwowski Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 @fakename What a pity, it's not there. Thank you for checking it out and informing. It's hard to check such things remotely.
dabhand Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 This might be of interest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Vby4EMIvuI I recall that Kev also made a video of a visit to a larger site some distance away from Pattaya that had a larger collection. But I can't find the video. It was from 2/3 years back. 1
Michal Karwowski Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 29 minutes ago, CharlieH said: staff didnt know the origins of the pieces they have That's common problem. I heard that there so many places where they made such sculpture, but when in comes to finding out where actually - it's a problem. Mayby in fact such robots may be created in few places, but sold in many. Hmmm... Thank you @CharlieH for checking and your help.

Link - greate with google maps location, website with all contacts. My brother found them in meantime. You inspired me, that I can look for such places through youtube ???? And if you have some other suggestions, for other places - I'm still open for suggestions ???? It's good to compare quality, assortment, prices,...
Michal Karwowski Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 3 hours ago, dabhand said: But I can't find the video. @dabhand I asked Kevin. As I understand there is no other video. That's why you couldn't find it ???? He talks about Ban Hun Lek (that huge manufacture). The other place can be that small Ban Hun Lek owners brother place (shown at the beginning of the video). 1
