I did my first retirement extension of stay 3 months ago on my own without any agents involved and it  went through extremely easy and quick plus no huge queues either. Very pleased to be useing this office after hearing horror stories of some offices

Maybe anyone who has issues with  their local immigration office should consider moving to Hua Hin based upon your personal report?

The Chiang Mai immigration has gotten progressively worse and will continue to do so apparently.  They are actually going backwards, moved back into their old office with no parking basically and half the space. No air conditioning on some floors, poor lighting and worse attitude.  Huge queque, many arrive at 3:00am. Time to move is correct. The whole city has changed anyway, no longer a quaint ancient city, it's just a polluted greedy tourist trap with traffic like Bangkok now and loaded with Chinese.
