Four Thais and seven from Myanmar arrested over illegal work and travel

The Immigration Bureau website announced the arrest of four Thais for harboring and aiding and abetting a group of Myanmar nationals.

Arrested were Manot Moonwong, 37, Udorn Chaiwongjak, 38, Piyaporn Samphan, 49 and Niphon Pintatha, aged 35.

The group of Myanmar people were led by a 20 year old named as Jai Morn.

The Thais were arranging for the illegal workers to travel back to Myanmar at Mae Sot when they were arrested. They had been charged 3,500 baht a head.

Claims that one of the group is a child and involved in human trafficking are being investigated further.

This child human trafficking really has got to stop.

I saw once in the Hua Hin immi office a poster of amputated children and the comment read that basically neighboring countries sell their children to be dismembered and then sold to go beg in places like the Bkk skytrain. I have seen children like this before...

Children are a natural resource and I am weary of reading how they are used...

Hope they hit these Thai scum as hard as possible, Thailand has laws against people trafficking but hardly ever use the full power !!

I find this very hard to believe.

You can go to Hua Hin and try to see if the poster is still up. I don't follow your posts, but I am curious to see whether anything surprises you about Thailand or not, anymore. I did not make this up so what you believe is entirely up to you.

Sorry you will have to do that yourself. I no longer live in those parts.

But I have a better solution, broaden your horizons and just imagine for a second that what I am saying is true. Would you be surprised?
