MG ZS EV battery modules used to make DIY home battery
Many will have seen videos repurposing old Nissan Leaf Batteries More recently videos have appeared using BYD Blade Batteries The problem with these big battery packs is that they are difficult to work with for the DIYer. MG on the other hand have smaller battery modules that can be replaced without having to place the whole pack. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
"most, if not all DTAs, don't give blanket taxation rights to resident countries on certain, specific incomes defined in the DTAs". The operative words being, specific incomes, rather than all income. It is clear that many (not all) DTA's give the resident country the right to tax specific types of income, that have already been taxed. This does not mean taxed completely a second time but taxed at a higher rate, which takes into account the tax already paid overseas. In a simple example, solely for demonstration purposes, income of a specific type may be taxed at 20% in the home country but because of the stepped tax bands, it may be taxed over at 25% with a credit becoming available for the 20% tax already paid. But for the lay person to understand the total impact of that measure, they would need to factor in the difference between their home country TEDA equivalent and Thai TEDA, which could go either way, based on the country of origin. They would also need to understand the tax treatment of ALL their different types of income, some of which my be treated more favorably, some less so. -

The Guardian Steps Back from Elon Musk’s Platform X Amid Content Concerns
BlueSky are facing the consequences of having all these easily offended leftists join their platform who don't like to see opinions they disagree with. Seems like they are going to need a bigger moderation team. Also, the use of the word "triaging" as though they are working in A&E and are saving lives with their moderation -

Something smelling musky -- the age of undemocratic in your face oligarchy in the USA.
I barely follow the charade that is politics, and even I know what you just stated is incorrect just by having a brief glance of how various demographics voted. Anyway I just keep an eye out until people in the West are ready to reject Modern Liberalism. Sadly I think I will be an old man before that ideology is given the boot once people have had enough and would prefer to live in the forest. Make no mistake about it, whatever actor is pretending to run the show, Western countries have been highly liberal for decades, about as liberal as a society can be before it crumbles. Promotion of the weak over the majority productive populace: LGBT, feminists, soy boys, Sub Saharans, fringe group minorities and other assorted weirdos who will not breed are highlighted as the winners when it's the complete opposite. It also plays a victim/victimizer paradigm that is nothing short of a work of fiction. It does make me laugh when liberals who have had the ideology they want in the West for decades still complain and move to more right wing places such as Thailand, or areas of their own country that hasn't been ruined by this destructive ideology. -

Schengen visa / insurance
Forgot to mention, since visa was denied I no longer needed this insurance. I had bought a policy for roughly 1000 baht. I tried to contact this company several times (both email and contact form) for a refund but they just ignored me. Finnair refunded me though. -
