According to news reports, General/Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has handed over 401 million baht for individual athletes and their trainers.

 

The Asian Game contingent, 830 athletes, received 268.45 million baht.  Assuming, for the sake of argument, there is one trainer for every two athletes, each person receives, on average, 215,622 baht.  Someone on the legal minimum wage would have to work 700 days to earn that much.

 

That's a hell of a lot of taxpayers' money to be splashing around.

There being sponsored just the same as other countries do, don't see anything wrong with that.
