fvw53
I use Win 10 Home since the beginning and I have deleted the need for a password to boot (I have only 1 PC and it is a desktop) Now I am surprised to get notice that my password will expire within 2 days I have tried to undo the expiry of password but the internet instructions apply all to Win 10 Pro and I have no idea what will happen if my non existing password expires. So I checked online the eventual cost of upgrading from Win 10 Home to Win 10 pro : websites outside Thailand offer this for 99 USD but Lazada offers Windows 10 Pro 32bit/64bit Product Key for 290 Baht... I cannot imagine Lazada will offer fake software ...but did any TVF member tries this Lazada key with satisfaction?

KneeDeep
You deleted it how? Like this? https://www.pcworld.com/article/3100057/home-tech/how-to-remove-your-login-password-from-windows-10.html Anyway, the answer to password expiry can be found here; https://www.cocosenor.com/articles/windows-10/4-ways-to-disable-or-enable-windows-10-password-expiration-notification.html

Doing as I suggested cannot do any harm as you can setup/remove passwords at any time in all versions of windows.. I am assuming the message you are getting is a legit Windows "notification"? Do you have a screenshot of the notification? Edited December 7, 2018 by scottiejohn
tweedledee2
About 1 month ago after a Windows 10 update, I was requested to create a 4 digit pin that replaced the password log-in. There are options to bypass screen unlock passwords Google - w10 password boot options.

Bangkok Barry
I've kept with Win 7 and never have the problems that 10 produces. Works fine, no problems ever. Not broken so I don't try to fix it (with 10).

Windows 7/8/10 home is always the most crippled and least supported version, they're is literally no reason to use it unless you want to be cheap and even that doesn't hold water thesedays when oem pro licences are available so cheaply....
