Gen Prawit’s expensive wristwatch probe to be wrapped up this month

Featured Replies

Why would he risk trouble by borrowing watches when what he should have borrowed are some weights and workout equipment?  I bet he didn't even borrow a step counter watch.  Shameful

  • This is great news. I'm sure that we will all be WATCHing for the real, true, honest report that will be produced.

  • Amazing Thailand, just more BS, the details of the report will never be made public. What bits of it they will disclose will appear just as the whole country is otherwise engaged with the rigged

Let's not get too excited.  As I read it, the PROBE will be completed by the end of this month and the findings will be submitted to the NACC, who can then take a few more months to consider whether there is a case to answer, by which time the election will be over and then the NACC will ...................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

The Corruption Commission might be more appropriate.

When they said 'wrapped up' they got the wording wrong. Nearly the same but 'covered up' is what they meant.????????????????

"...findings will be sent to the National Anti-Corruption Commission..."

I know how to close this delicate matter once and for all
Just use Thai post ????????

WOW how are the watches going to be wrapped up , in Gold Paper I hope. My question how can this case be closed when many of the owners they were borrowed from are dead and the rest of the owners they cannot be remembered. We will have to dig up Sherlock Holmes to solve this one then we can have a HUGE  Handing Over Ceremony . This could only happen in Thailand with such an Honest Government.

Should that not read "Gift wrapped", and then sent to Prawit as it's the season of good will?

Tick Tock Tick Tock !

It was over before it started

He has nothing to worry about.

Perhaps he should but, being a Deputy PM and high ranking Army officer....................

Given the quality timepieces involved they should be able to time it to the second ..

No year.

Wrapped up? I hadn't realised it had been unwrapped.

Wrapped up? I hadn't realised it had been unwrapped.

High-end watches are probably just the tip of the iceberg, there’s probably bars, hotels, resorts, rented out properties..... these people don’t stop at a few bits of bling.

Now, now, he didn't say which year.

So the only thing we are really looking to see is how the judicial system decides to explain why this terrible mistake was made and the honorable Toad must be free to hop and continue to spew BS.

The caption about this, erm, 'probe', fits perfectly IMO telling it will be 'wrapped up'! Not so much considering the unacceptable long time it will have taken for the mountain to bare a mouse (not a single doubt in my mind about what's coming), but a lot about 'wrapping up', to hide the all the lies. I guess the only thing to hope for, goes the Thai way: let Karma take care of him...

Alas, it is well known that this Karma stuff has been invented and used to calm down the population, in giving it some remote hope that punishment will come, some day... No need though to tell who must have been inventing that tale...

Or are the National Corruption Committee simply reporting in before kicking the can further down the road? 'Yeah, yeah. Soon...'

Just lay off  Gen Prawit, can't you all see that he is the Thai version of SUPERMAN without the suit. An upstraight honest person whose only desire in life is to protect the downtrodden and poor of the Thai community.

I continue to stand by the observation that in thailand, the police "investigate" for two reasons:  1.  to collect bribes so they know what to conclude, 2. to hide evidence or manufacture evidence to back the conclusions they want or find the right scapegoat.

Watch?

What watch?

You want buy watch?

Oh, you have watch.

Give to me, I watch your watch too.

Same I do for friends watch.

Watch you try to say?

When I worked in audit, we used to always wonder who audits the auditors?

As bent as a two Bob watch.

Did someone say watch?

Not again.

Yes The time is Right , to wrap this up.

I think it is safe to say, that this administration was installed, with the express purpose of protecting the super rich, the powerful, those that are connected, those that are in power, and those in the army. Not much else has been accomplished.
