"...Gen Prawit’s expensive wristwatch probe to be wrapped up this month..."   And then he'll be sent to jail for corruption, right?   Sorry, sometimes I write the most amazing thin

  • This is great news. I'm sure that we will all be WATCHing for the real, true, honest report that will be produced.

  • Amazing Thailand, just more BS, the details of the report will never be made public. What bits of it they will disclose will appear just as the whole country is otherwise engaged with the rigged

Did the probe ever get as far as finding out, or even asking the name of the conveniently dead owner, and why were all those assets not given back to his family?

Yes. And remember the friend was a "dead" friend.

watch this space.

one more month until i can get my watches back from my friend.everything will be sorted then

...about time!

Gee, that didn't take long (Yawn, ZZZZ!!)  Only 12 months to decide, (Ohhh, S**t, forgot what we're investigating!! Something about time, wasn't it!!)... That's OK, another huge stack of paper completed...

It's 100% guaranteed that NOTHING will happen.

The clock is ticking . . .

Yeah, well we all know what the decision will be? The only thing that surprises me is how short a time it has taken to come to such an thought provoking conclusion...wait...did I just say 'thought provoking'??? Probably the most thought provoking decision they made was when to have coffee, Chinese or Thai tea and who to send out to collect lunch.

I thought he bought them at a market in Sukhumvit Road after dark. They have a lot of counterfeit watches there that just almost look like the real thing. And they don't cost that much depending on who you are.

Just love the headline photo. They say every picture tells a story.

Ole Fatty's just let one rip and is laughing off his embarrassment while his mates look either amused or disgusted. The PM obviously couldn't stand the foul smell and has taken off for cleaner air.

I think you'll find the assets are with the rightful owner and always have been.

Even if he's found guilty he'll only get a mild ticking-off from Prayut!

I'd be prepared to bet the verdict clears the toad and is just 'All a terrible misunderstanding'.

That's been probable from day one in the Land of Thieves and Liars dressed up as Army Generals'

Likely be told to dress more carefully at photo ops.

Sickening really, the hypocrisy on the same day as announcing an anti-corruption campaign (yes, another one, nobody believed the first 12).

I could be wrong, but I guess it's safe to assume that:

Nothing. Will. Happen.

This is a total waste of manpower resources because we know nothing is going to happen to this fat toad!

They could have wrapped all this up in a week by checking with the watch manufactures who purchased the watches.

Right on time:

The National Anti-Corruption Commission is considering amending its controversial assets declaration announcement so that officials holding some positions would be exempted from having to declare their wealth and details about their assets would not be made public.

PM declares stance against corruption ????

This is a prime opportunity for the PM to demonstrate just how serious he is about curbing corruption. There will never be another TIME like this.

Sweeping under the carpet.jpg

it was wrapped up looong time ago!

NACC is a joke, here is why:

"In brief, the NACC is charged with combating corruption by high-ranking government officials and politicians. A similar organization, the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) under the Ministry of Justice focuses on corruption by low-level governmental officials.[5]"

"Political office-holders as well as high-ranking officials must report their assets before assuming their posts and after they leave the posts. They are not required to declare assets while in office.[6] NACC financial disclosure rules do not apply to National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) members. Also exempt are members of the NCPO-appointed 200-member National Reform Steering Assembly.[7]"

This is a timely report about a minute storm in a teacup.  Most people will applaud its publication at Yule time.  I second that.  You have to hand it to NAAC.

Now let that be an end to these puny puns.

On the face of it should be wound up.....????
