Sending relative to 90 day report.

Featured Replies

I believe that it’s possible to have my mother in law go to do my 90 day report in Saraburi, I’ll be unable to make it all the way to Saraburi to do the 90 day report. My question is, I have to send her with the filled out TM47, photo copies of my passport and entry stamp and current visa, photocopies of my tm6 front and back, and a note explaining that I’m authorizing her to do my 90 day report.  Do I have to send her with my actual passport too? I won’t be back to Saraburi for several weeks and I’ll need my passport for some other documents I’m working on in Bangkok. Is it required to send her with my passport to do the 90 day report for me or just the photocopies and filled out paperwork? Thanks.

Passport is needed.

For them to do the report for you they would need your passport.

Copies are only accepted for mailed in reports. You could mail your report to Saraburi immigration assuming they accept them.

You also have the option of doing the report online.

I contacted the office earlier, they told me they don’t accept online or mail in 90 day reports.

Add them to the list of rogue offices that don't allow them.

You will have to work out another way to do it or pay a 2000 baht fine for not doing the report.

You can do your report up to 15 day early or 7 days after the report date including that day in the count.

or you can do your 90 days in Bangkok

Not without changing his address to Bangkok. The report has to be done where you applied for the extension unless you change addresses to a different office.

Why don't you do your 90 day report in Bangkok as you are supposed to do if you stay in Bangkok?

He lives in Saraburi and that is where he has to do his report to. He is only in Bangkok temporarily.

Thai law doesn't make a difference between "where he is living" and "where he is temporary staying". It knows only "address", and this is where you currently are.

According to the the form itself he has to report his "present address", presently he is obviously in Bangkok so he has to report this address.

But immigration will not accept the report unless it is at the office where his extension was done. It can only be done if a person formally changes addresses to the office where they are trying to do the report.

It has been that way for a few years now.

Could you use a courier service if you can do without your passport for a few days or even a minivan service.

anyone can do your report provided they have your passport.
