Hua Hin Visa agent

Featured Replies

Had a quick scroll through , cannot see any HH specific topics ,

Can any one recommend a good visa agent who can obtain a retirement visa for someone coming in on a 30 day stamp in October,

Ideally if the agent can sort out the banking and residency requirements etc as one package , that would be great ,

i know of a few in Pattaya , but not familiar with Hua Hin

Have a friend who is pretty nomadic and they would like to use an agent , rather than getting bogged down doing things themselves.

I am out of LOS at the moment so can't go down and check agents out myself

TIA

This is the only one I'm familiar with who "pushes paper" in Hua Hin

Your friend could do himself a big favour by getting a non-O e-visa before leaving for Thailand (easy to do). That makes the ongoing processes much easier and cheaper. As for "sorting out the banking" does that just mean account opening or funding the 800k as well?

As mentioned above....

Even if friend was staying in Pattaya by far the recommended route would be to obtain Non O eVisa prior to entering Thailand.

What is this person's actual plan?

To live ongoing in Thailand or...

HH is not the same as Pattaya regards number of agents.

He may be advised to use an agent in Pattaya or Bangkok

Concur on the non-O visa, easy to get via the e-visa platform, no visits to embassy required, all done online.

You do have to be physically present in the country where you are applying!

It makes especially the banking part easier, plus gives you a much easier timeframe (90 days on entry) to work with and get everything sorted on the Thai end.

Assuming of course he can show financials (needs to have equivalent of 800,000 Baht in his "home" bank account or an income of 65,000Baht equivalent per month).

If he has a bit of time and is no criminal and doesn't mind collecting some documents (and can do this in his country of nationality), he can also apply for the Non O-A, extra paperwork required would be a health certificate, a "criminal record clrearance" document from your homecountry and health insurance.

Then he doesn't have to deal with Thai immigration at all, with a bit of good timing for the next two years.

The extra cost of the insurance will likely be offset by not having to pay a Thai agent (and he gets the insurance of course).

if you apply for the non O Visa in your home country you need to buy Health Insurance ! For the O Visa which you can do easily in Thaland while on a 30 days Tourist Visa no health insurance is required ! Big difference !

I thought that you only need health insurance for a Non-OA not a Non-O!

You are correct.

The guy you quoted is wrong.

No health insurance required for Non O e-Visa

No. Health insurance is not needed for a non-O visa. It is only needed for a non-OA.

I used Hua Hin Visa Service for my retirement visa a couple of years ago and it was simple, straightforward and speedy. They took me to the bank to get an account, also had someone who placed the 800,000 in the account, transferred it back to him when the account was opened and the bank clerk actually set my internet banking up. I think from memory I had to give him a 1000/1500 “fee” fee r the short term loan.

Then drove me to immigration and they went direct to an officer who started the process and called me over to complete signatures etc. Only spent about 10/15 minutes at immigration, the envious stares I got were actually hilarious as everyone else was waiting to be seen. Drove me back to the office and I collected my passport back in a couple of days. The team and the service were excellent and couldn’t fault them.
I went back to use them for my renewal last month and again faultless service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

They are in soi 94, a little further along from Anna Visa Service.

For the first year did they also do the initial non-O visa or had you already entered on that? Approx costs?

They indicate on their list of services

"Change of Visa type"

Assume they can obtain Non O from VE entry.

BTW: positive reviews

“Your Friend” hahaha, ( sorry for the innuendo ) is a very lazy boy who needs someone to hold his hand it seems.

Crazy to pay an agent instead of getting his own non o visa in his own country.

Not a fan of agents myself, BUT, really depends cost and how much hassle to get in home country.

The example above, and cost seem way too reasonable. If I provided all the paperwork, even having money in bank, I'd consider an agent myself for convenience ... IF ... I didn't have to show up myself, to do the signature part.

For a couple 1000 baht, I can sit & wait for an hour. Living 100 kms from Imm, and if I had an ICEV vs our EV, then an agent would come in handy, again, IF, I didn't need to actually be there to sign paperwork.

I would seriously consider an agent, if using an Imm office that a simple extension turns into an all day affair. And may in the future, if HH Imm ever gets to that point.

I can see where you are coming from but to get a retirement visa if you only have a 30day stamp can cost up to 45000 baht in Pattaya. That is more than the pittance i get from my UK old age pension per month.

Good thing HH isn't Patts, for the OP.

I'm pretty sure that cost is for the one minute finance, not for the agents fee!

I have not used Hua Hin Visa service for a visa, but got my british passport renewed through them. One of my friends recommended it, he had done it before.
They knew what to do and did a good job.
I suggest go speak to them.
