webfact
Carnage at a temple in Hat Yai: 33 abandoned cats killed by dogs Picture: Thai Rath The hunt is on for a person who dumped 36 cats at a temple in Hat Yai in the middle of the night. The felines - transported in cardboard boxes - were then at the mercy of the dogs at the temple of Wat Thung Ngai in Thung Yai district. Only three survived the slaughter. Local lady Chai Panchalerm, 49, said she saw what had happened when she went to the temple about 7am. CCTV footage showed a Nissan pick-up with a load on the back arrive at the temple at 2am and stay for about 15 minutes. The locals believe the cruel person who abandoned the cats probably couldn't look after them any more. They are consulting with the phu yai baan (local village chief) and police to try and track down the person who left the cats there. They want to lay animal cruelty charges against the person. fruitman
And what about the cruel persons who dumped their dogs at that temple? And what about the monks who let those dogs run free causing havoc in the area?
CanuckThai
Why is the cat delivery "specialist" (or cat delivery engineer, or minister of kitty delivery) being chastised? They did what is people do here. If the dogs are ruthless killing machines, hold the owner/custodian of the dogs accountable.

One day we were at the temple and the dogs attacked a young child...the fathers grabbed some sticks but the dogs suddenly run away.

Burma Bill
It shows just how vicious the dogs can be. I personally hate them and would eagerly organize a cull, especially those that wander and lie on the rural roads here in Isaan. They are a menace to traffic. Not in my neighborhood, we would just run them over.........I wouldn't chance damaging a car or Motorcycle to avoid hitting a dog, or a cat.........just run them over and keep driving. luckily its only happened once to me. You're confusing "too old to protect your people" with "discretion is the better part of valor". If only it was just the dogs... Even if you're able to beat them off, then you have to protect yourself against the locals who may take offense at someone abusing their lovable mongrels. It’s funny, every time I visit temple dogs come running to greet me and for a belly rub , but that’s oropably because I always bring some food instead of a stick to hit them. jak2002003
Those cats must have done bad things to get that bad karma. Serves them right. Now we need someone to dive a pick up truck loaded up with crocodiles to dump off at the temple to kill the dogs. After that I don't know... may be a bus load of elephants to stamp on the crocks?
