"...His Cabinet is scheduled to convene its mobile meeting in the province today..."   Hey Nation!   You write fine Editorials condemning the Junta for its abuse of power, its lack

  • And the adoring crowd are all wearing uniforms!

  • It is because i run the country. You know i am suffering, i agree to lay down my life in this position. Biggest load of waffle i have ever seen, sad deluded man.

It sound like a communist dictator from last century.

Sounds delusional to me.

Convinced of his 'messiah' status. Personally I think there's a lot of evidence that this man isn't very well.

Quote:- "There was tight security at the places visited.." I bet there was, he was in Shinawatra country! I note the crowd were nearly all local government officers in their light brown uniforms - no local villagers by the look of it. Stage managed??

All the features and character traits of megalomania.

Mad as a hatter - fits nicely.

Yet, quite harmless, in the reality spheres.

Remembering, that he's [and the surface associates] a front man, a puppet so to speak.

I might be more cautious and suspect towards those whom take this ilk must too seriously than it's deserving.

Its very difficult gorging at the trough! Vote carefully, we'll help you by removing party logos so many will have no idea who they are voting for office. Yep, we are full of crap and you know you love us for it!

Hopefully everyone is aware on how kind the government is these days. You are aware of the B 500 hand-out in cash to the poorest of the poor? In another publication I read that this clocks to B 7.2 billion which would benefit 14'400'000 people.
In other places it would be called vote buying with tax payers money as the government itself has no money to spend. These B 500 are not paid in cash but can be converted in "allocated" stores around the country with meanwhile inflated pricing.
While the masses are being pleased with little pay-outs the big wigs cover the bigger amounts with rail links, trams, airports and, lets not forget the three Chinese submarines.

The handouts to the poor for this month are: -

500 baht (last week)

1000 (next week)

700 (in 2 weeks)

700 (in 3 weeks)

that should be enough to win the vote

there's an alternative here:

- whether the man is too silly to realise that when Thai citizens do 'vote carefully', a vast majority will do its utter best for its vote NOT to be possibly used and abused by any political party having compromitting itself to closeness with the green plague;

- or, the man's brains are so corrupted he's deluded and certifiable enough to think that a large number of people does (still!) like him any bit, while to the people he seems to have become more like birdsh.t on a fresh Sunday shirt.

I'm afraid it will rather be the second, oh, afraid that the Thais will not make their voice heard, or, when they would, that it will not be heard anyway...

I do trust 'uncle' Prayuth! He will achieve 'Thailand 40'!

No, I didn't forget a 'dot' between the '4' and the '0': when he's let to have it his way, he will bombard the country back to ...1940, in the time of steel-hard dictator Phibun Songkhram, also a general, re-introducing a self-serving totalitarian fascistoïd regime for the military and the elite (today much , more 'sino-thai' than 'old amart') to ransack the country for their profit, and just with the imperialist, hegemosist Chinese, replacing the nippon empire of then.

Could a white flag with a golden elephant on it become a symbol of resistance...?

N.B.: on top of the sad prospect in itself, this man most totally misses the 'wingspan' and 'vision' that a Phibun did at least have...
