Tanakorn Sangiam

CHONBURI, 14 December 2018 (NNT) – The Ministry of Interior is pushing forward a campaign to improve performances of entry-level officials.

The Ministry of Interior's Deputy Permanent-Secretary Pornpoth Penpas presided over the opening of an efficiency buildup workshop for entry-level officials held by Prince Damrong Rajanuphap Institute.

The workshop, taking place during 14-25 December 2018 at the Interior Institute, is designed for participants to enhance their situational analysis skills necessary to accomplish goals and turn government policies into actions in their responsible areas.

The deputy permanent-secretary said the workshop intended to give the participants undated knowledge on regulations, and create understanding on the world's pace of change, and be alert on new knowledge and efforts to acquire expertise.

She urged all government officials to be devoted to their jobs, keep on learning and improving themselves, as well as building connections to exchange expertise and collaboration to help push forward the ministry's campaigns.

What a great opportunity for those students studying English to learn and understand the phrase "Blind leading the blind".

Who are these people trying to kid? It is commonly known that entry into the civil service is determined by two primary factors. The size of the envelope and the quality of the relationship between the applicant and the decision maker.

Civil service jobs are purchased in Thailand, not given on merit, intelligence and skills. One only need look at the dunces that sit on the NCPO and those who make up the ministries. The quality of their decision making is often appalling and characterised by little forethought for the consequences of their judgement.

Dumb or Dumber...I choose brake failure..

Interior ministry looks to enhance entry level officials performance, absolute BS.

No person gets in without a BIG brown envelope, nothing to do with their skills, only the amount of money handed over to senior officials.

Oh..Colin,

How can you say  such a thing?

How is all this accomplished without adhering to Prayut's insistence on wearing Thai traditional clothes?

Entry-level officials must abandon their 21st century military-style uniforms and revert toThai traditions to begin efficiency - running a feudal bureaucracy.

It would be a truly extraordinary day in the history of this nation, if local, state or federal government jobs were awarded based on merit, and competency was factor when hiring. That it so far from the truth with most past administrations, but it holds especially true with the current administration, as the welfare of the people is the last thing on the mind of the present crop of incompetent goons.
