webfact Posted December 17, 2018 Share Posted December 17, 2018 Certify Hub project at Suvarnabhumi airport approved FILE photo BANGKOK, 18 December 2018 (NNT) – The Ministry of Transport has planned to establish a Certify Hub for export products at Suvarnabhumi international airport, turning Thailand into a regional air cargo hub. The Ministry of Transport's Deputy Permanent-Secretary Chaiwat Tongkamkoon chaired a meeting on the establishment of the pre-export product quality certification center, or Certify Hub, at Suvarnabhumi airport. Participating in the meeting were delegates from Airports of Thailand, the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP), the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance. The meeting approved in principle the setting up of the Certify Hub to position Thailand as a regional air cargo hub and have assigned the OTP to liaise with related agencies to push the project forward , including proposing the project to the Cabinet, overseeing operations by related agencies, determining investment budget, managing human resources and work plans, determining the time frame and studying other related issues to ensure clear progress to realize the project's objectives. -- nnt 2018-12-18 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Many who do QC in China and Taiwan have affiliations in Thailand. It would be best for them to do this sort of work at the factory NOT at the airport. They're all going to need new Ipads, and probably a couple of conferences at resort hotels in the new year, to thrash out the way forward...
