Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has appointed acting secretary general of the Anti-Money Laundering Office (Amlo) to the role.

 

Prayut invoked Article 44 of the interim charter as the chief of the National Council for Peace and Order to appoint Gen Rungroj Saengkram, deputy police commissioner general, as the new Amlo chief for six months.

 

Rungroj was appointed as acting Amlo chief after Prayut sacked his predecessor on August 14.

He looks very smart in his uniform. Should have appointed him to the Uniform Laundering Office.

    He'll be no different to the NACC and is only there to make sure no one from the "1% Club"  gets caught shuffling their riches around to avoid tax.

    He was fired by 44 so really no one knows except Prayut. That's power or rather misuse of power. Anyway the fired chief got another cushy job as inspector-general to the Office of the PM. They don't punish their kinds even if the firing does seem serious or maybe criminal.
