Deputy PM Prawit chairs meeting on human trafficking prevention, suppression

 

 

BANGKOK, 20th December 2018 (NNT) - A significant progress of the solution to human trafficking has been reported as rigorous law enforcement will continue. 

The Spoksman for the Ministry of Defense, Lt. Gen. Kongcheep Tantravanich, said the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, chaired a meeting of the government's committee on prevention and suppression of human trafficking on Wednesday. 

The meeting discussed a report on Thailand's prevention and suppression of human trafficking for 2018 before submitting it to the United States of America. 

According to the report, human trafficking cases from 2017 to 2018 have a tendency to drop compared to 2015 to 2016. The government's policy and intensive law enforcement has decreased the number of human trafficking criminals, while increasing the number of rescued victims. Assets worth more than 471 million baht have been confiscated during the criminal proceeding.

Gotta love the propaganda you are exposed to when flying Thai Air into Thailand, warning of people traffickers and dob them in if you see one.

doubt if I'm ever going to bump into any human traffickers, unless I find myself in the halls of Thai power.

OR the number of cases dropped due to the lack/reluctance of detection and prosecution.

The only way to prevent The Toad from spewing BS. Good to know he is at the helm. We are all safer as a result. 

Well they could blame the human trafficking on an old dead friend, that seemed to work for the watches that were being trafficked.

Its a shame no close up on Benny. Always like to see what watch he is wearing on the day.
