I had a multi-entry visa that I did at the Consulate of Genoa I was in Krabi for two months, then I had an extension to the immigration office and I went to Malaysia at the end of the third month

when I returned to Krabi from Kuala Lumpur the airport immigration office  asked me why I was back in Thailand and why I was so long

I told him that I was there on vacation because I have a girlfriend and I liked to stay in Thailand IMG_20181221_113245.thumb.jpg.cfdc2a47cc132f8e1debc2a6261b7120.jpgthey did not believe me and they told me how I was able to support me and I explained that I have the money and I can also prove it I also had the cash with me..they told me several times not to believe me and that at most in a year I could stay in Thailand 180 days...in the end they left me locked up in a room without my taking my things in Krabi and the day after I must come back in kuala Lumpur.. now I'm here and I can't come back in Thailand again ..that print in my passport that I can't come back in United Kingdom of Thailand ...I don't have clean shirt nothing with me.. I loose everything my tablet ,camera key of my home Italy key of my motorbike in Italy everything!!!!!!and I need to pay my new ticket airplane for Italy from Kuala Lumpur...... I'm very sad about that I respect Thailand all the time..

Sorry if I make some mistake to writing I'm very tired...

Having read many similar reports, I know what happened.  He entered holding a Valid Visa (METV).  The IO (or his boss) doesn't think the law on Tourist entries is restrictive enough, so s

get the correct visa my ass

oh wait hang on.. you were here more than 180 days in a year?

how many other stamps you have OP?

How long did you stay here before this visa?

How old are you ?

And just to confirm, you tried to enter on a METV ?

He stamped in your passport that you are going to work in Thailand

Did he ask you anything about this?

You could enter Thailand at any land border other than Poipet

The stamp does not mean you can never enter the country again. It is only a denial of entry under section 12 for the immigration clause 3.

"3. Having entered into the Kingdom to take occupation as a laborer or to take employment by
using physical without skills training or to work in violation of the Ministerial Regulations."

You could try to enter again but be sure you have the equivalent of 20k baht in cash and other proof you have enough income without working here.

Perhaps the best would be try enter at the Pedang Besar border crossing to Thailand. You could take a train from KL to there.

As METV are valid for six months and unavailable from Malaysia , wouldnt your METV had expired and you arrived on a different visa ?

Did you have the 20k baht in cash.

IMO you denial of entry was incorrect. They used a clause that is hard to disprove.

He said he was in Thailand until May, that he came back to Thailand 3 months ago and that he got his METV in Italy. So most likely he was in Italy in between May and September and got a METV there

Where u from? The io May of took a dislike to u due to color of skin or dress sense maybe?

To obtain an METV requires proof of savings, not to mention a visa fee of equivalent to approximately 5000 Baht. It is ridiculous to make visa applicants pay the fee and provide all the necessary evidence to obtain this visa and then deny them entry on the grounds of 1. a rule that doesn't exist (180 days in a year) and 2. a suspicion that is not backed by any evidence and makes no sense (financially independent tourist comes to Thailand to work as a labourer).

@Klaus77

Enter by land at one of the several Malay - Thai land crossings. You have a good chance of entry.

Where are you now? KL?

Catch a train to Thailand. You have a good chance of entry. Your visa is still valid.

My mistake for an earlier post to this, I wrote as you arrived in Thailand September last year, hence that stretching.

you should had gone to Satun; that in Krabi they are playing hard to get is quiet known within the local community, in the Facebook group of 'locals' was just a few days ago a post of a girl that was in your same situation and get refused.

Krabi airport has been reported as a bad entry-point before, though we get fewer reports from there.  Thank you for reporting this, as we now know they are as bad (or worse) than the Bangkok airports.

Your METV is still valid and you are not blacklisted.  The MFA has already done financial-vetting, so only an unlawful checkpoint will refuse your entry on false-grounds (assuming they don't have evidence you are working illegally here).

Take a train (very frequent) and enter at Pedang Besar (use the entry-point in the train-station).  At the first sign of questioning, show the 20K Baht worth of cash, and explain you think there was confusion at the airport.  If you have any other documentation of your money (home bank-acct or pay-stubs), where you live in Thailand (business-card to your condo-bldg), etc - have it handy to show.  But, usually, that entry point only wants to see your 20K Baht - the extras are just due to your fresh denial-stamp.

I have made this trip before - either flying out of Hat Yai or continuing by train.  When I was spending a lot of time here on Tourist Visas, I never dared enter the country by air, due to reports like yours.

It is not about not being wanted. The METV visa is not meant to be used to "live" in the country.

Your list of "lawless" entry points is getting longer Jack.

Where does it say they need proof? That said, I would appeal on that basis if I was genuinely not working.

As I have explained, many times now. Having 20K only satisfies 12.9; not 12.2 or 12.3. Someone with 20K in their pocket could still be working, and 20K is not enough to live on.

These days -- anyone using visa exempt or tourist visas to live in the country -- can at anytime come unstuck. A fact people need to accept.

I will take a different approach. I have read posts earlier but sorry if I have missed/mixed stuff up. Firstly what city do you fly out of to return to Italy. You mentioned Thai gf. Sounds like your not short of a quid. Your in maybe biggest airport hub in Asia. So..... Cheap flight to Saigon. Your visa exempt. Fly your chick there for short holiday. She can bring your "stuff". Then decide on border crossing if you 100% need.

As for trains etc...I would rather be trapped in doof doof disco. Good luck

Guess: ",camera key of my home Italy key of my motorbike in Italy everything!!!!!!and I need to pay my new ticket airplane for Italy"

So where is he from then?
