Bangkok, Thailand, December 2018 – RapidzPay, a digital payments company from Switzerland, announces an update to its digital currency launch along with the opening of its new headquarters at Major Cineplex Ratchayothin at the end of February 2019.

After announcing its launch at the beginning of 2018, RapidzPay received tremendous interest in its services from those embracing the Thailand 4.0 economy and a cashless society. With this partnership, moviegoers can now use RapidzPay to purchase tickets as well as snacks and beverages through Major Cineplex’s Mcash, all digitally, no physical cash needed.

Currently, RapidzPay is available in Thailand on a trial basis at certain cafés. Once it receives approval from the Securities Exchange Commission of Thailand, sometime in the first half of 2019, customers will be able to use the RapidzPay app widely.

RapidzPay will not only be a convenient way to make purchases, but there will also be special promotions available only through RapidzPay to attract more accounts and encourage greater use and availability.

RapidzPay’s strength is that it leverages blockchain technology to create a convenient, secure, and fast payment system. Consumers now have a high-tech payment option through the RapidzPay application, allowing them to spend money at shops and restaurants with a POS. So, RapidzPay works like a credit card, scanning a QR code to buy goods and services anywhere.

Wisara Chokedeetaweeanan, Managing Director of Rapidz Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said, “Today, Thailand and her people are extremely interested in cryptocurrencies.

So much so that the government and the SEC are exceptionally supportive of endeavors like ours. We are confident that RapidzPay will continuously grow as more and more people turn to more advanced methods of payment such as RapidzPay.

We are also planning another initial coin offering, or ICO, in January next year. Issuing digital currency like this raises money and circulation to encourage people to use e-payment and e-wallet technologies, which in turn encourages the growth of a cashless society in Thailand.”
