Company requirements for my new Non-B visa

Featured Replies

Hi all

Im after a little information if possible as I am reading all sorts of various things online and not sure what to believe :

1) At the end of February I will be applying for a 90 day Non-B visa, as my non-O visa will end.

2) I hold a Work permit and have worked for my company for 6 months. The company is a 2m thb capital set up.

3) I hold the title of I.T. Manager for the company, and I am also a 49% shareholder.

4) The company has 2 Thai nationals as non-paid share holders.

5) All tax , registration papers etc are in order, and my income tax is all paid and up to date.

My question is, is having 2 Thai shareholders enough for my application for this 90 day visa ? I have read somewhere that the company needs 4 Thai nationals working for it to allow my application, is this correct ?

Please no time wasters, i have read enough speculation and guesses to last me a life time. I do have a meeting set up with my local visa company but cannot see them for 2 weeks and this is playing on my mind.

Thank you in advance for any useful information that you can provide.

You will get a single non-B or a multiple entry (Penang only).

The four empoyees are only needed if applying for extension of stay at immigration.

There is no requirement to prove the company has 4 Thai employees to apply for a non-b visa at a embassy or consulate.

See: http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/4908/15388-Non-Immigrant-Visa-"B"-(for-Business-and.html

If applying for an extension of stay based upon working for a company at immigration it is a requirement to have 4 thai employees.

You mention you currently hold a non-O visa - if you are married you could just get a new non-o and extend after 90 days, for marriage. Everything else works the same.

If you are not married just ignore this... ????
