Death toll rises to 236 in first four “dangerous” days

A total of 236 people were killed and 2,265 others injured in 2,194 road accidents over the first four days of the New Year holiday period’s “seven dangerous days”, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department’s Road Safety Centre (Thai RSC) reported on Monday.

CAAT officials probe cause of light-aircraft crash that took life of South African pilot

Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) officials on Monday inspected the wreckage of a private light aircraft that had crashed in Chon Buri’s Sri Racha district on Sunday afternoon, causing a blaze that killed the 60-year-old pilot, Mike Romberg from South Africa, at the scene.

A GUNMAN has opened fire in southern Thailand in a ferocious New Year’s Eve attack, leaving six dead before turning the gun on himself.

Children among 7 killed in mass shooting at New Year's Eve party

A GUNMAN opened fire on partygoers killing seven, including two children, as they were celebrating the coming New Year in Thailand.

The gunman reportedly began shooting just 10 minutes past midnight at a home in Chumphon province, in the country’s southern region.
