It wouldn't be accurate to say it is north of the main jet stream because it's dynamic. Depending on where a high pressure system comes from the jet stream can be pushed north or south.

this about says it all look down towards bottm i think it says vancouver is a bit of a reach for the jet stream?

Yeah, it's more north of most of it than I thought. Still not out of the jetstream, however, just the back of the net for it.

Oh, that jet stream. I thought you were talking about the one that I got hit with this morning when the pressure pump was on and I went to clean my backside!

The jet stream moves around quite a bit.

Typically in the spring it dips south which makes for some exiting mountain wave soaring in New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado.
