Safeguarding World Heritage

Unesco has recognised more than 1,000 places in 167 countries and territories as World Heritage sites. Of these, five are located in Thailand. Over 50 sites are considered to be in danger, threatened by armed conflict, climate change, over-development or mismanagement.
