Pickup 2wd 1 & 1/2 Cab Style

Featured Replies

i have surfed a few of the manufacturers websites but am not doing too well on getting prices.

I am trying to find out what the cheapest manual diesel engined 1 1/2 cab is. It doesnt matter which make or model as I wont have to drive it :o

have looked at the ford, mazda, mitsu, toyota, chevy and isuzu sites but only managed to get a few prices.

I actually like the look of the triton, is this value for money ?

I know someone who has a couple of low mileage 2006 rangers for 375K.

The 2.5L engine in the Ford is one of the most reliable engines out there.

The Isuzu was historically the cheapest, though the Triton has to be fairly close on price.

Ford have brought out a new model so prices have gone up a bit. The older Ranger is a nice drive but a bit of a gas guzzler.

If you're buying new, and for a Thai person, then either Isuzu or Toyota will be most appreciated. (And for that reason keep it's value the best, though I'll readily admit that's a chicken & egg thing).

Cheapest: It doesn't matter much. They're all very similarly priced. Visit some dealers. The most difference you'll find will be in what options they throw in. Sometimes it pays to visit different dealers of the same brand. All depends how close the salesperson is to his target for the month. :o

Yes, though not sure if that also applies to the base model he'd be looking for, the one with the NON-turbo engine.

I had a look around and found the Mitsubishi Triton to be the best value for the Money....
