Hello All

I am going to get my wife piggy backed onto my visa/extension to stay as my dependant spouse. One of the requirements from immigration is a marriage certificate certified by our embassy(Australian). I noticed from the embassy website there are a number of options for notarial services and I am hoping someone here can advise me of which one I need.

I am hoping all I need is a copy of the marriage certificate certified as a true copy by the embassy. Is that the case, or do I have to have the original marriage certificate notarised as being the real deal by the embassy?

Hoping someone who has been through the process at Jomtien Immigration can offer any insights

I think what you want done is listed as a authentication (aka legalization) on their website but there is not much detail about it.

Info can be found here: https://smartraveller.gov.au/services/legalising-documents/pages/overseas.aspx#authentications-and-apostilles

Info is here on their website including a link to make an appointment. https://thailand.embassy.gov.au/bkok/Notarial_Services.html
