90 Days Finished. What Now?

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I've just used up my 90 days within the 180 on the tourist visa. I extended it by another 7 days at the immigration office "to give me time to prepare to leave the country" as they put it. Trouble is all fights back home are fully booked.

What are my chances now of getting a 60 day tourist visa from Laos?

Thanks in advance

There is no 90 days in 180 days if using a tourist visa so believe you have used up the alloted entry without visa quota. If you go to Laos and apply for a tourist visa I suspect it will be issued and you allowed to enter Thailand again.

What I meant was I've entered Thailand 3 times on the 30 day visa on arrival in the last 6 months.

I just worry there might be complications having had to extend this by 7 days and this may affect my application with the 60 day tourist visa or re-entry into Thailand

Thanks

If you go on Jack Golf's tourist visa trip to Laos you can basically be assured that you will get a tourist visa.

In your case that means a possible 6 more moths here (60 days tourist visa + 30 day extension + 3x30 day visa runs= 180 days or about 6 months!)

Repeat this process untill you are denied a tourist visa and have to leave.

Hi,

you should be able to go to any Thai consulate/Embassy in the surrounding SEA region and get at least a 60 tourist visa.

My friend was in exactly the same boat as you and got another 60 days, with no problems, going across to Laos at Muktahan (apologies for spelling, but it's north of Ubon Ratchatanni).

This way, the LOS govt gets some cash for the visa, something they didn't get before when issuing unlimited 30 day VOA's at entry points around the Kingdom...

It will be more pricey than before, but you can, theorectically, make unlimited trips.

Actually, what I think you meant was that you have entered Thailand 3 times getting a visa exempt entry. Visa on arrival is something entirely different.

Go to Laos -Vientiane, get a pipe, fill it? Up to you - the place will chill you out anyway, you'll get a visa.....and, like me, after getting the ###### thing, not want to leave!
