Perhaps the blonde buffoon is preparing to take a similar approach to Saudi Arabia after the MBS directed murder of the journalist?

Or perhaps he's just forgotten!

Are you equating the death of one man with the potential deaths of hundreds, perhaps thousands of US allies? Perhaps you are clutching at straws to denigrate Trump.

Whatever, I hope that if the Turks do attack the Kurds, The Donald destroys their economy.

I take your point but I do not support any Govt that murders individuals OR groups based on their dissent towards that Govt.

It is not necessary to clutch at straws to denigrate the Blonde Buffoon; there are complete hay stacks available!

This sounds more like Bolton than Trump.

Turkey’s president snubs John Bolton over Syria

  • Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan abruptly canceled his planned meeting with National Security Adviser John Bolton on Tuesday, a major embarrassment for the US that further complicates the Trump administration’s shambolic Syria withdrawal rollout.

It's 50-50 that Trump even understands the political complexities in the region beyond his simplistic campaign pledge to withdraw US armed forces from Syria. (Former) Secretary of Defense General Mattis failed to Trump's attention to the consequences of his announced immediate withdrawal.

From a NATO viewpoint it makes no sense for the US to threaten a NATO ally with economic ruin while insisting NATO nations meet their pledge of 2% GDP to NATO support - another Trump red line.

This threat of sanctions sounds more like a Bolton retaliation. Trump just favors chaos with US allies.
