simon43 Posted January 27, 2019 Share Posted January 27, 2019 AFAIK, (I came back to Thailand from working in Myanmar 3 months ago), You can only wire to a bank using Western Union ==> meaning that the banks in Myanmar are not yet fully connected to the international banking system. The banking connections have improved a lot over the past few years, and now your foreign ATM card usually works OK to withdraw cash if you're in the country.
