Thailand’s National Environment Board (NEB) is scheduled to hold a meeting today (Monday) to map out measures to cope with the smog problem in and around Bangkok as the Pollution Control Department (PCD) reported an improvement in air quality this morning.

The NEB, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, was recently assigned by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to oversee all relevant agencies currently engaged in operations to tackle the ongoing pollution problem.

It is expected that the board will develop long-term measures to complement the immediate efforts currently being deployed, such as road cleaning, water sprinkling, tighter control of emissions from factories and diesel-powered vehicles, cloud seeding and aerial water spraying.

Only stop trucks and diesel pickups from coming into the city. We already see weather improves over the weekend and gets worst during the weekdays.

Wow suplize, there is a real environmental board??? Looking at all the normal environmental issues hard to imagine what they do.
