Plastic garbage has been found inside a dead green turtle on Bang Sane Beach in Chon Buri.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) says the green turtle was found on Bang Sane Beach in Chon Buri yesterday.

The female turtle was 76.5 centimetres long and 72 centimetres wide. Its age is estimated around 25 to 30 years old. The body had already started rotting.

Yes 'we' should burn our plastic and batteries better, or just dump it in the forest on the islands.

How dare those rotting turtles to pollute our beach with their stench? We should fine them 100.000 baht for it.

We can't help it, it's the rain which washes all plastic into the rivers and sea...bad bad rain...it even dares to clog up the drains so we get floodings from it!

This turtle gives us a bad reputation, we should punish it for doing so.

Most of them end up on Kao Noi Pattaya.  They can be seen weeks after heavy rain with no attempt to clean them up by local authorities or local residents.  They're waiting for a civic minded farang to do it.

Funding should go to Thai Universities to research Gene Engineering to modify Marine Life to eat plastics.

A neat solution: Turtle happy to have plenty of new food, Thais happy to continue throwing plastic.
